An organization, Organizing for America, is organizing an immigration information organization in the 50th Congressional District. It is a way for President Obama to learn what the country is concerned about regarding immigration law and for Americans to learn what President Obama is concerned about. A meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito, located at 1036 Solana Drive in Solana Beach. I will be giving an overview presentation of current immigration laws and their impact on the estimated 12 million undocumented aliens in the United States. The thesis is that their numbers grow instead of dimish through absorption because changes in the law have made their natural absorption more and more difficult.
As for your participation, it is [sort of] like Levy’s Rye Bread, you do not have to be Unitarian or a member of the 50th Congressional District to participate. I would love to see you there. Come and tell me you read about the meeting in this blog.
